I fear with all those RF waves floating around your house you would have brain cancer at age 30.

Three memory cards??? If you think about a shot, and shoot like you have film, then you don't need three cards... or just get a bigger card. Also depending on what kind of shooter you are, you can shoot with a single small prime lens, I can shoot for days with a 20mm.

I don't believe in the use of browser storage of passwords. I do believe in using KeePass. It's cross platform (Linux, PC, Mac, Android, iPhone, Blackberry, J2EE phones, and many more). It can also be ran directly from a flash drive, and gets to the point of complete paranoia. It protects against key logging, has 256 Bit Encryption, Key file to open the Database etc... You can use it for more than your web passwords.

@jmorey ... What carrier, you could die faster if the skin was attenuating signal strength... If it's CDMA (Verizon/Sprint/Metro PCS) the phone will continuously look for a better signal. Thus shortening battery life.

I fully agree with @Somgaet it's nice to see someone who isn't a apple fanboy! And the one apple product is old...love it. I'd still be using a mini ipod, but literally my dog ate it.

As an engineer, I can't stand regular calculators... I prefer a TI-89 but it brings a smile to my face to see someone who needs a calculator!

Thanks for sharing.

Re: 5. Yes it uses power, but there are many arguments against the booting constantly. I'd suggest closing all applications, and then putting it in sleep. I believe there is a third party application that allows for a hibernate mode, which uses less battery power, than sleep.

you could use this: http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/status/deepsleep.html

Just in general, watch out for those Dashboard widgets, they consume more memory and thus power then one would think. Especially those that are constantly calling up web servers.

A small thing, keep from storing the battery/and or laptop in the cold, cold is never good for a battery. It would be best to remove the battery, but that's no longer allowed.

I like the coffee table... not really my style overall. Well maybe if I had a cabin or earthy house :-P I think the coffee table could serve as cool model for a desk as well!

@funstraw... interesting I am a little surprised that that someone would try to implement through the use of the Headphone Jack. Even more interesting, that they are using all the signals (connector has Microphone connections as well). I don't know that much about a IR remotes but my guess it works similar to RS-232, which means the adapter converts the nominal voltage outputs from headphone jack to IR.

It's interesting, as a guy I wouldn't really think about the possibility of calling a sewing machine or a hair iron, as tech...but in reality they are! I haven't had to really purchase a vacuum because I have all hardwood floors, and a broom and dust pan work very well...but I would totally rock the Dyson.

Ahh the digital magazine rack would be very interesting... Although I am so crazy about spending hours reading on a mobile device, their screens just aren't configured like an eReader. but magazines are usually a quick read.

FYI flash drives have a read and write life...it's more deterministic that a traditional hard drive.. beware...

I would think laundry baskets would also be a great place...

Maybe in a pillow case, or a duvet cover.

But you should totally have a properly backed up data so you don't lose anything priceless. And also have Renters Insurance, it's worth the few bucks...

Just my $.02
