the paint color looks very blue but i looked it up on line and it actually looks more creamy? could be my monitor...

enough about the "dangers" to the child. i think the apartment is gorgeous, ingenious and a testament to the owners' creativity and hard work. well done!

i used to live in this building (i now live across the street) and i am familiar with this apartment line. what someone who is not familiar cannot appreciate is how this work has brightened what was once a dark and weird space (it is fairly narrow and has very high ceilings). i am stunned by the transformation!

I have the same idea, but haven't pulled the trigger. My number one choice is the Wegner elbow chair. Others that I like are the Cherner side chair, any of the Thonet side chairs, and even just a black laquered bent wood cafe chair (I've seen this in Domino, I think).
Another look that I think would be nice is a padded wire chair or a fiberglass chair -- totally different direction but nice, too.

i'm actually curious about the chairs -- anyone know where those might be found?
