Also, don't move with toddlers. We have two of them and we are still trying to unpack after almost 4 months. From Moving In to Settled In…In One Week! Loving Living Small | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

I had the same thought as bepsf about the seat cushions: I would have taken the opportunity to replace the four with two longer ones for a cleaner look, especially with the piping emphasizing all those pillow edges. It's the first thing I noticed. Also agree about the height of back cushions. We have a (discontinued) Crate and Barrel sofa that actually has the back cushions slightly lower than the frame, and I think it is just a great period detail. I knew you could skip the infant seat but I'm glad I didn't. My twins were both under 5 pounds when we brought them home from the hospital, and being born at 37 weeks they just were not very strong. They were swimming in the infant seats even with the snuzzlers! I think they would have been seriously flopping around in a convertible seat. Also the double Snap-n-Go was great for getting around with two newborns, and you need the infant seats for the Snap-n-Go. Skipping the Infant Car Seat | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

Dark navy, I saw a bedroom in a Victorian done like that and it was amazing. I hate white or very light molding with a deep color. It ruins the effect. Can Dark Walls Work With Dark Wood Molding?Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

Light does make a huge difference. I thought I wanted a medium-deep turquoise for my kids' room but it gets little sunlight and has original wood trim, and everything looked dreary. I ended up with Benjamin Moore In Your Eyes, much lighter than I envisioned but it's beautiful. Color at Home: Best Bold Bright Turquoise Paints | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

Lunafaerie's tips for parents are spot on: be reasonable, and get yourself some therapy. And in case you can't tell, I don't think the therapy comment is cynical at all. I think it's just the opposite. The Slow Family Living Movement | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

Lots of Room and Board sofas are made by McCreary Modern too. We just ordered the Maddox sofa (super comfy) in Teton fabri/Ink color. Taking delivery in a week and can't wait! What Color Style Chair to Complement New Sofa? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy New York |

Lots of votes for dark brown chairs but I think that will make your sofa look too peach. I love LoriSF's suggestions-warm colors with some blue accents is much better than grey. (Grey and pink reminds of me of the '80s in a bad way. Those were my prom colors.) Also Patrick's point about the material is excellent. What Color Style Chair to Complement New Sofa? Alma and Thelma are cute but as an identical twin myself and a mother of twins, I must remind parents of twins NOT to give matching names or names that make a "set" of some sort. (Also don't dress your kids the same.) It is already hard enough to become one's own person. It amazes me how many parents of twins don't have this insight. This is inspiring because I want to stencil-paint some ugly built-in wood valences and I know my stenciling would not be perfect. This looks great despite being imperfect. Flickr Find: Josh and Amanda's Vegas Bedroom | Apartment Therapy DC |

Go Eagle Rock! I grew up in Highland Park in the 1980s, and when I went back a few years ago could not believe the new hip factor in Highland Park/Eagle Rock/Glassell Park. Your house is great. Actually your landlord should replace that. I'm sure it is some kind of violation to have wall tile on the floor, because it's not strong enough to withstand walking on (and that's why it is so cracked and chipped in the first place).
