I also grew up in Brazil and I completely agree with what Helena said. It's awesome to have someone be in charge of tasks such us doing the dishes, folding (and pressing perfectly) the clothes, picking up your shoes from the living room, etc. But it also sucks to have a person following you around, knowing every single thing about your life and not having their own lives themselves. In Brazil house keepers work a lot!!! But well... it was nice... lazy and nice... Is There Such Thing as a Premium Housekeeper? Good Questions |

I have the same LG and it's great! We did our kitchen remodel ourselves too (we are still in the middle of it) and after lots of research we decided to make a investment on new appliances. We got our at Best Buy, better price and financing. Affordable, Compact Refrigerator Sources? Good Questions |

I would replace the large mirror with a framed one, paint the back wall (where the mirror is) with a different color and put a piece of glass on top of the counter with some interesting image (pictures, fabric, something) under the glass. Also, off set the perfume tray to one of the sides so it doesn't remind you of a sink. Would put a table lamp and get rid of the ceiling/hanging lamp. How To Make Bedroom Vanity Less Bathroom-Like? I'm in this process right now. We have been looking for a house for about a year, put several offers, and finally... got accepted. Now that we are on escrow, our lender is bugging us about one piece of the puzzle. Ugh!!! It makes me so mad. I'm completely in love with our soon to be home, have my plans ready with layouts, color schemes, everything. So hard... I get emotionally attached to these things (houses). It's not like buying a scarf or a computer. It's all about getting the place you will wake up inside everyday. If it wasn't for the very focused husband I have, he is so good at "ok, it didn't work, let's move on". Again... so hard... The Emotional Business of Buying a Home |
