ginger root tea with honey and cilantro is also good. i boil it with the cilantro, then add fresh sprigs in the cup to make it look pretty.

this is more of a space suggestion than a green one.

i have a full-size it bed. takes up very little room when not being used, standing on end in a corner.

i put some folding cushions from dwr on top -- similar to this, but not exactly this: http://www.dwr.com/productdetail.cfm?id=6372
maybe some kind of inflatable camping mattress would work on it.

my guests sleep well. it's even strong enough to support the chunkier ones.

johnp, probably you should post your question in the open thread section (if that is still part of the new web design).

this is wonderful! that balance between scaulding and freezing is often hard to find. keeping it would be fantastic. i wonder where one can buy such a thing.

unless i know the recipient actually needs some thing, i try to give consumables--candy, wine, other goodies--so that they can enjoy the gift and not be stuck with more clutter.

Rags from old clothes, sheets, towels, socks, whatever. use them and wash them. i can't figure out why people buy cleaning cloths, i've got more than i can ever use. sheets are particularly good on glass.

oh, but check out the designers' website--they make fantastic dishes and so much more than this vase (which is kind of ubiquitous)!! (the silver umbrellas are to die for.)

i don't understand the need for the bags for the scoopings. i scoop the litterbox offerings into an empty coffee can, then dump it in the toilet--could just as easily dump it in the wastebasket.

i also don't understand why people buy cat beds. my cats invent beds all over the place. (i should perhaps admit that i am extremely tolerant of their choices.)

re balls of aluminum foil -- you mean they don't shred and eat them??? how civilized...
