Thanks to everyone for your helpful feedback. To be honest, I am just starting to experiment with my creativity in this area, so I need all the help I can get. :) I definitely don't want to chop up my space by using too many different colors, so I am considering using a different shade of yellow...but what about gray? Is that neutral enough to maintain a sense of continuity? Thank you, thank you!

Hi There,

I need some AT advice! We recently bought a chocolate colored couch for our living room and have a few pieces from this Crate and Barrel collection:

I am stumped as to what color to paint the walls. I can't do anything yellow, since that is color of the kitchen which the living room opens up into. Sage is our bedroom color so that won't work either. Does anyone have any interesting ideas for us? I recently bought a sample of "Comforting" by Behr, which is a latte color, but think it may just be to dull or blend in too much.
