I've been trying to figure out how to do a backyard firepit on the cheap, but asinner's comment got me thinking. What is a good option to keep out the rain? And yeah, I LOVE that top pic. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Outdoor Spaces: Inspired by Elle Decor and Anthropologie |

Cumin is my favorite spice. I use it in my vegetarian chili and pretty much anything else that I add chili powder to. It just has that je ne sais quoi kick. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | From the Spice Cupboard: Cumin |

This is simple and beautiful. I too love the baseboard artwork. and the spot of red in the archway, and the more books the better - they're taking over my house now. I'm stealing some of your aesthetic for my blank, sad, unpaintable downstairs hallway. Thanks so much for sharing! Apartment Therapy New York | East #20: Brett's "Hot Lips" |

Don't even think about putting something down in there. This room is way too clean to be considered a "mud room." And god forbid you buy a new pair of sunglasses. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Look! One Organized Black and White Mud Room |

I love this idea. I think those might be the same cabinets that I find so irritating in my own rental kitchen. I am so doing this. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Orange Crush |

Not to cheat, but I'm tempted to try it with either the puff pastry idea that caw261 mentioned or (gasp) store bought pie crust. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Non-Intimidating Dessert: Free-Form Crostatas |

I re-use glass jars in my backyard as tea-light holders. I don't even bother frosting the jars, I just have a bunch of different sizes grouped and set out on the tables. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | 10 Simple Uses for Spaghetti Jars |

When I worked at starbucks and these first started appearing in stores, I originally liked them. But because they were chosen for a generic purpose, they are just that -- generic. But the generic quality is exactly why my bedroom walls are still blank, waiting for me to find something better than generic starbucks art or ikea art or anything of the like. I just want something generic that no one else has put in their bedroom. As much as I see that "keep calm, carry on" poster, it shows that everyone wants the same generic pieces. Not to be a spoil sport, but there are instructions on the Ready Made Magazine website to redo the cushions on a danish modern chair (one that I own actually and was going to redo myself). When you think about stuffing, pay careful attention to the stuffing that was used in the original cushions, which I'm betting is foam. You can even reuse the old foam and put a new or a light layer of batting over the top of it, to create the same clean lines that are on the original loveseat. And if you've never done any sewing before, I recommend trying to install a zipper on cheap muslin so that you make your mistakes on cheap fabric rather than your awesome new and possibly expensive fabric. Good luck, I can't wait to see what you do. I love that danish modern furniture! Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | January Jumpstart: Making Pillows |
