Boy do I feel old. I remember those doors!

Hotel rooms show signs of life once someone checks in--even if it's just a purse on a bed. I seriously doubt Elizabeth lives here. She refers to it as "the home", not "my home" and the other comments are impersonal as well. If she does live here, I don't get the impression that she loves her home.

I'd suggest donating the $$$ to a local shelter and sticking with the cheap wine.

I don't understand why you were "shocked" to see the walls, woodwork, stairs, bannister, windows, etc. remained intact after removing carpet, wallpaper and window treatments. It's rather common.

Is it common practice to purchase a home without first learning what type flooring is under the carpet? I would at the very least ask.

Great space! The kitchen is her fave element, yet she doesn't include a photo. What a tease!

I agree with redneckmodern re the keep calm poster. It's an inexpensive splash of color--not unlike an orange pillow. Unfortunately, it is far more distinctive than an orange pillow and once you are familiar with it, you notice it straight away!

On the other hand, clearly medenver is ignorant of the role the poster has played in history. To casually categorize all posters as "teen chic" indicates little or no knowledge of the history of design. I want to be a the same yard sale as medenver--while they head for the slightly used toaster, I can snag the original Cheret or Mucha!

I liked both posters the first 50-60 times I saw them.

I completely agree. Etsy is great, but it has grown past its search capabilities. I don't want to sort through 5,000 items to find one. I visit now only on referrals from others re a specific artist.

It's unfortunate.

I came across this site as I was searching the internet to learn how to price my queen size Anthropologie Gee's Bend replica quilt. I decided on 100.00. It's rather nice--mostly red/blue with a few blocks of fun red toile. I love it, but the background and reverse are more the color of unbleached muslin. I prefer a true white.

I have never used the quilt. I get more use out of the great cotton tote it came in!

It anyone is interested, they can email me at nonviolent2001@yahoo.com.
