completely agree about the value of photos.
I always lay out pics of the yard, view, garden in all seasons so the prospective buyer can see in winter or early spring, how amazing it will look in the summer.
A shot of the sunset from upper windows or a condo balcony is a good seller too.

PS open toilet comment? couldn't agree more! close it before photographing it!

I love the bright white. It's crisp and clean and just the way a kitchen should be, especially with the metal accents.
A note about lamps in the kitchen.... keep them FAR from the sink.
Water + electricity = trouble.

Might think twice about a pine cone.
Isn't that squirrel/bird FOOD?
Love all the other ideas though!!!

Couldn't agree more with Violet.
Calls made to me when the caller is going from here-to-there make me feel devalued. Just a way to fill in time.
When someone is doing housework, checking their email or driving their car, ditto.

Suggest vacuuming/wiping under and behind the fridge.
Make sure it is on sliders so lino/vinyl isn't torn (my fridge has evil little balancing prongs).
Most fridges have wheels and a removable plastic grill so sometimes moving the fridge isn't even necessary, however if it has condenser coils on the back, that should be vacuumed once/year.
Floor beneath stove can be cleaned easily by taking the drawer right out, then it is an easy wipe for the floor and for the drawer.

I have always used expensive wallpaper which you can get as samples (books are often on sale or offered for free) or tail ends.
If you just get limited amounts, the drawers can each be a different pattern (or in groups of course, as far as each pattern stretches).
Once the drawers are loaded the paper flattens out. I never stick the paper down because getting it out is a drag.
Good luck!

Looks lovely however, not sure he case where this moss was used, however where I am, it would be FULL of bugs so I would be inclined to get moss from a nursery.
Beautiful atmosphere created with the natural greens...

I think Ashley's writing is brilliant, laugh-out-loud. And the apartment rocks.
The break line of paint colour in the "kitchen" from the other area must have been difficult to place. Clever use of colour.

No one has mentioned schoolyards.
There is an elementary school to the north of my building and someone was watching over me when I rented on the south side (for the sun and mini-view).
I can barely hear the kids but those on the north side can't have their doors/windows open on school days because the noise is deafening. I can hear them but it is a happy din of kid noises around my side.
One new tenant on the north side told me he works nights and cannot sleep in the daytime because of the screaming, yelling kidlets. In the summer it goes on until 8-ish when the older kid hang out playing basketball and drinking beer until the wee hours.
I have carpet which makes me walk with my toes curled up and my two cats have either been vomiting or had constipation since I moved in two months ago. Makes me suspicious of how the carpet was cleaned. It also "crackles" in places when stepped on. Not sure if this is the carpet backing or the radiant heat underlayment.

I have just sold my condo and moved to a rental. I am in a lovely part of town now and although my building is less than well maintained other than in my own suite I am finally stress-free.
When I see that the promised renovation of the seedy lobby, entrance and elevator is not being done it doesn't bother me! Not my responsibility!
Whereas in the condo, the completely inactive strata council was so plagued with political issues nothing got done, thereby devaluing my property causing me stress.
My experience is that a majority of condo owners have what I term "rental mentality"... (as I am a renter now I hope not to offend anyone)... in that they will let someone else be responsible.
Stratas cannot operate that way and the microcosm of society which this portrays is disfunctional. (wish it HAD worked)
So look at the positive side of renting!! ha ha
