It's interesting seeing high-end showrooms like Baker taking design leads from those of us who strive for more affordable design (the mix and match dining room chair set). Thanks for sharing! 6 Fall Design Trends with Maxwell YouTube Spaces |

This house is composed of a lot of inexpensive and practical elements. I love the use of plywood between the floors, shelving, and built-in sofa (I love that you can get formaldehyde-free plywood too). The bathroom that's a wet-room is so functional for cleaning. You can just hose the whole thing down. The windows in the kitchen instead of upper cabinetry are just beautiful! Overall, I think this house does a great job bringing the outdoors in. I really enjoyed this post. Thank you! Hope's Relaxed & Easy Modern Home House Tour |

I am definitely bookmarking this post. I think this landscaping would work well in Geogia's hot climate. Love the idea of creating depth within the landscape layers! Before and After: Turf-Free Front Yard Kiesel Design |

I love hearing your process! Your logo is like a clever, happy watermark while simultaneously being a fun stamp of approval! It makes feel good when I see it! We spent a long time coming up with our logo too. The upside-down chair with the bird on top creates a feeling of wanting more, but it also is something that imprints itself in your mind- much like your logo. 3-form is some WONDERFUL stuff! Uh! I have built cabinets out of this gorgeous eco-resin for clients and they turned out just beautiful! We placed lights inside the cabinets, and the luminous glow is just stunning. For an inexpensive option, check out 3-form's remnants. Also, Lumicore is 3-forms competitor. They have a remnants page. Check out the collection of real botanicals sealed into the resin. You'll get so many ideas! Inexpensive Creative Solutions for Closet Doors? Good Questions |

All of these colors are fun, but I am stuck in 2009 I guess? I just adore that vintage mustardy yellow. It goes SO well as an accent with a monochromatic pallete. One of the houses I'm working will have accents of this pantone yellow on the exterior with base colors in white and dark grey. LOVE that combo! However, this hot orange/red could fit right in too with the grey and white. :) I just think the yellow reads more classic- think yellow wellington boots or an old rain parka and somehow I feel the orange/red is more trendy?! I am a lover of orange, but maybe I'm just a bit worn out by it? It has been the thing for a while, no? Maybe it's an Atlanta thing? Pantone's Color of the Year for 2012 |

I LOVE the monochromatic look of this loft. Because of the wood, the black and whites read as warm and calm. For those that seek color, you could be the accessory and wear that pop of orange or blue :) Bess & Peter's Brick & Timber Loft House Tour |

For most of my life I've been attracted to bright hughes in my living space, mixing and matching them all together in one room. I felt bright periwinkle walls with a chartreuse armoire and bright yellow accent lamps made for a happy space. I still find bright colors playful, but for me and my clients, I prefer to stick with muted, more neutral tones (at least with the shell of a room - walls, floor, ceiling, countertops) and add a pop of color as an accent whether it's in a comfy chair, a rug, throw pillows (especially if we want to change the look of the room for each season) or pendant lamps. My favorite accent color right now is vintage yellow! It looks SO great with grays, white, black, and chocolate! And, it translates so well between seasons. I even started a Pinterest page focusing just on vintage yellow: Has Your Color Taste Evolved? |

Thank you for the story. First, I LOVE to see what goes on behind the scenes! Fantastic shots! Second, it so good to see American companies doing such a great job - especially since a lot of US furniture companies are outsourcing their work to China.
