Whenever I look for a new apartment, one of my two must-haves is a tub. I have a gorgeous claw-foot tub that I cherish.

My landlords in the big house- I live in the carriage house- have a bathroom very similarly outfitted to the third picture. That cage shower is A-MAZING- comes complete with a swing-out bidet faucet down below, that will launch you out of the house if you're not careful.

Orange!!! My favorite color.

I agree with the lack of a wastebasket being mortifying. A female friend of mine doesn't have one, it boggles my mind.

As far as thinking wipes in the bathroom is "weird"... you and your friends must not keep "things" very clean down there. That's why bidets are so common in parts of Europe. It gives you that extra something we all need now and again.

I have a little piano bench that I use as a landing strip; I'm sure something like that would fit right by the door.

Above it, I would buy or have made a coat rack thing with hooks below and a shelf above. That's what my arrangement is and it works beautifully. I have some baskets up there for the "outbox" items.
