these look nice but what is "honest" wood? do they mean reclaimed? i expect to see these in all the brooklyn bars rocking the edison lights and old school black oil paint storefronts.

who are these mysterious people who "forget" to eat? sigh. if i haven't eaten by 3pm i hunt down a slice of sad looking pizza from across the street.

i've always wanted to do this but my radiators are rounded on top. how do you get the slab to stay steady (aside from building a table/shelf)? thanks in advance!

so many nuts to do all the above suggestions! but can i add another vote for sending some of them to a food bank? i brought valentine's chocolates to the soup kitchen one valentine's day and it was amazing how much people lit up over getting a simple chocolate candy. people would really enjoy a nice treat like fresh walnuts!

as for usage, i would be all over banana walnut bread. yum! and walnuts in pancakes, whole wheat bread, on oatmeal, in cookies, tossed over whole wheat pasta with goat cheese and bitter greens. omg and maybe homemade turtles with walnuts? enjoy!

i prefer glass to metal too, i feel like there is a metallic taste to water i leave in a metal container. that said, glass is heavy! but if you're worried about it breaking, 1) i'm guessing it's tempered glass and 2) use a waterbottle cosy/cozy. those neoprene Built bags are pretty good.

i am the only 1 who has bought something from skymall! does it count if it wasn't a home furnishing item though? they had a great tube-shaped collapsible pet carrier for car usage. it is brilliant. to be honest, most of the home decor stuff is pretty ugly, but the gadgety stuff is entertaining.

hey funstraw, they don't have eucalyptus as the brooklyn trader joe's but there are a few florists on court street and one on atlantic that have it (that big grocery on atlantic, i think it's a met foods?)

look cool but how obscenely expensive is it? their little felt patches are $300/pop, so I'm guessing this is in the many thousands range but it doesn't say how much on their website.
