Flowers always give me a lift. My favorites are freesias which are more available in spring. One spray can fragrance an entire room. I will light a floral candle as a substitute for now.

Well, I balanced on a chair in the basement and retied the string drooping between two light fixtures. I made a trip upstairs for the scissors and neatened up the old places where it had been tied. While there I threw in a load of wash. Next I plan on getting a kit to rewire a lamp.

I skipped this except I'm so far behind that I don't know if I'll catch up again. I do have a few media free days on the holidays, so I can fast but it's not easy. Reading, board games, home cooking, and yoga become the way to pass the time on those days.

Just seeing the colorful flowers at the outdoor market was great. Like the idea about fresh fruit in a bowl, so I'll do that with clementines and apples in a vintage ceramic bowl that I adore.

Still have a smile leftover from the video. It's corny but sweet. Will get around to working on another room soon. Love the vacuuming the dust bunnies and the hardwood floors which I have everywhere except the bathrooms, kitchen, nook and basement.

Pasta is one of my go-to meals and I make my own red sauce. It lasts a long time and I jazz it up with various cheseses at the end. It was breakfast this morning. Having over 500 cookbooks, I usually combine more than one recipe to make my own version. I start with a basic way and just keep adding to make it look good to taste and to the eye.

I have more like three landing strips: the nook counter for keys, the front door shelf for mail, and the purse and bags in the nook prior to going upstairs. Shoes can use a better parking spot, so I'm clearing a spot in the back hallway for the usual collection. I shred mail with my name or address on them before placing in the trash. Today I raked leaves for 20 minutes-half were ready and carted away in a dump truck. It still felt good to work on my outside space in the 60 degree fall day.

Lovely Max, such a simple act of borrowing flowers and branches bringing them inside your space can change the entire atmosphere of your home. Surrounded by beauty and being in the moment the peace settled over me and refueled my spirit. Using found "art" the warmth in the welcome makes me proud of my place in the world.

You make cleaning windows look easy and I like the simple homemade recipe from Re-nest for the formula plus the newspaper trick. Going to pick a room after Halloween.

Bon Ami is my go-to cleanser for 30 years. I make a sanitizer using a quart of distilled water, 1 tablespoon of vodka (can be cheap), 10 drops lemongrass essential oil, 10 drops eucalyptus essential oil. I like finding recipes for cleaners and making them using simple ingredients and essential oils.

The Outbox sounds like an official office term like the Inbox. I've been collecting for awhile and will find something to put in the box and give soon. Having a spot to donate and keep my tug-of-war items is a great idea I'm going to implement.

I smelled flowers at the hardware store today after buying a hedge clipper while the weather is still cooperating. So I'll go to the grocery and pick a bunch to grace my home and give a boost to all who enter.

Saw the video on Monday and watched the vacuum go around the room. Like the tip about the Beeswax Paste for resealing butcher block finish. Did start on the kitchen, but need more than one day to get through.
