Ha ha - not worried about the well-being of the deer, honestly. I just grew up in a town where dudes liked to hunt and hang heads on walls. So I am creeped out by antlers.

But I totally love your house for real!

I love this place so much, I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!

Seriously though - this is the most wonderful home I've seen on here. The only thing I wasn't in love with were the antlers.

And I don't leave the remote out when company comes over either. If we aren't watching TV - it goes in a bin...

I bought a condo under the craziest dude in the universe!!! Their living room was above our bedroom so we would wake up to loud cracking sounds that sounded like the ceiling was going to fall. Then they would run around the living room and move furniture around CONSTANTLY! It was like living under Jurassic Park.

Upper condos are required to have carpeting, but these people had wood floors. We offered to buy them carpeting, but they refused and started being even louder just to "stick it to the white man". We tried talking to them, but ultimately the condo board forced them to get carpeting.

To make us pay for having to get carpet - they broke into my condo and the other condo above us and have flooded us a grand total of SIX TIMES in a little over a year. The association won't do anything. The police won't do anything. NOBODY will do anything. Basically unless we have a video of them doing this the police won't even talk to them about it.

We ended up buying a new house and moving because the condo was no longer safe for our baby, with all the flooding. The crazy guy is selling his condo as a short sale now. And we were 2 weeks away from selling ours when they flooded us again.

We had lost our homeowner insurance after flood #5 so now we have no way to fix this stuff and we have to pay 2 mortgages until we can fix the flood damage and sell.

Thankfully, our new neighborhood is great!!!! We just hope that the condo can be sold soon so we don't go broke and lose both places!

We used Green Glue in the hopes that we could drown out a family of brontosauruses... It didn't work as well as we had hoped. We ended up using Roxul "Safe n Sound" insulation instead. It seemed to work better...

I agree with the juice idea. Our family has started juicing and doing a lot of green smoothies. And we have found that not only is it easier to consume a lot more greens (kale, spinach, collards, dandelion greens) that we wouldn't typically eat - it's so easy to disguise the taste by mixing them with other vegetables and fruits! Not to mention - you don't have to spend all night cooking and cleaning. Instead, we have time to take an evening stroll as a family and head home for an early bed time.

The days are so much easier when your nights are full of peaceful sleeping.

And eating well isn't anything to be smug about - it's something to be proud of. It's tough to get started, but once you get into the groove - it's amazing!

I bought a condo 2 years ago and have experienced 2 years of total agony - so I can definitely empathize.

I bought a place under what turned out to be a trafficking house!!! The owner is a truck driver and smuggles people from south of the border - and possibly drugs... Yeah - awesome, right???

We were "fortunate" enough to have our loud neighbors experience some flooding issues in their kitchen. We tried to talk to the neighbor and he refused to open the door and would hide in his house any time he saw us. He also refused to communicate with the condo association. So my insurance had to pay to remove our ceiling, walls and floor and replace them.

When we replaced the ceiling, we added Green Glue, 2 layers of 5/8" drywall up against the sub floor, and we also hung 5/8" drywall from these metal posts called "whisper clips".

Unfortunately, we still heard some noise, but instead of feeling like they were tap-dancing on our skulls - it sounded like they were 20 ft away.

Our neighbor refused to take any responsibility for the damage he incurred by flooding us, so we had to take him to court and sue for damages. We won and he had to pay up.

As a result - he is a furious little monkey (he doesn't understand that in American you typically can't get away with property damage).

He has since flooded our condo FOUR additional times in other rooms. So we've had the opportunity to test out other methods of soundproofing as well.

Overall - I recommend Roxul "Safe n Sound" insulation. The day our contractor put this insulation in our ceiling (even without the drywall) - it was like a whole different space. You could immediately tell the difference! So my recommendation is to jam as much Roxul in the ceiling as you can. It probably won't drown out everything if it's a family with rowdy kids. But it will DEFINITELY help!

I sincerely feel your pain. Even with the insulation - our neighbors were just too crazy (shot our patio door, tried to fight my husband, etc.). With all the intentional flooding they caused - they are in a heap of trouble with the insurance companies and somehow think that it's our fault. We finally sucked it up and bought a house in a better area.

If you can afford it, I would try the Roxul insulation. But if you think these people are in it for the long haul and they are going to shake the hell out of your walls every day and night - just get out now!!!

I had to give up my $8K first time tax buyer credit, but to get away from my psycho, trafficking neighbor - I had to bite the bullet, cut my losses and put our family's sanity and safety first!

Good luck. Seriously!

I became vegan and raw by accident. When we set up Netflix thru our Wii - we instantly had access to all the movies one could ever require. One day I came across "Change your Food, Change your Life" which got me contemplating the reasons why one would become vegan. Having grown up on a dairy farm, hearing that pasteurized cow milk is not good for the human body was tough. But I read "The China Study" and I haven't drank milk since, and have only eat cheese on very rare occasions. Quitting dairy - I lost 18 lbs in less than 2 weeks. I got a couple of Post Punk Kitchen books and started rocking out with all kinds of new recipes.

Then I saw the movies "Food Matters" and "A Beautiful Truth" and decided to dabble with raw. We got a juicer that week along with some Ani Phyo books and Boutenko Family books.

It's tricky getting used to new terms and new equipment, but the food is DELICIOUS! Once you get used to the flow of things - you realize that eating healthy does NOT mean sacrificing flavor!!! Get the book "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World" and you'll know what I mean!

I feel more focused and energized and am really on-fire for learning about food and nutrition. It's no joke - you are what you eat. And when you consume chemicals - your body cannot function the way it should, hence all the cancers and diabetes and other infirmities so many of us are battling.

Grocery shopping has become my favorite thing to do. THAT is my retail therapy. Knowing that I am feeding my family genuinely good, nutritious foods is a fantastic feeling.

We allow ourselves to do meat on the weekends or if we go out to dinner with friends and there aren't vegan options. But the more you experiment with vegan and raw foods - the more you realize how healthy you feel when you eat them.

I encourage everyone to TRY vegan for a little while - just to see if you like it. Or just incorporate a few vegan recipes into your week. You'll be surprised at how much you like them! Just remember - eating good doesn't have to taste bad!

I need like 4 of these. We just started a raw diet and these would be perfect for the multitude of fruits and veggies we have strewn about our counter top!
