We were just about to place an order with RH but read these reviews. Checked out Rough Linen - looks great but sad they don't have the colors that RH has. Anybody used Lore's lately? They seemed to have wonderful reviews in 2005-2006 but not so great in recent times. I'd love to have some recent reviews and experiences. Or can anybody recommend another place to reupholster antique french chairs? I am always seeing gorgeous discarded chairs or chairs at flea markets in desperate need of repair but hesitate in purchasing since I am afraid that reupholstery would cost a fortune. Hi guys, I know this posting was from last year but I came upon this topic as I searched Apartment Therapy for my dilemma. Like Lindsey, I have large windows in my bedroom, about 117 inches wide and even wider in the living area/kitchen - 211" wide!. My problems are that I can see the neighbors across the street and hear the traffic from a main avenue just a few feet away. We rent and don't want to invest a large sum in window treatments. We were thinking maybe Smith and Noble Honeycomb shades for the noise and regular curtains over that? We would consider lined, blackout curtains but they get seem to get very expensive.
