My mom made that cake and it was amazing! The combo and the salt of the nuts and caramel with the chocolate was so good. My dad is not a dessert person and even less a chocolate person and he had 2 pieces. Caramel-Peanut-Topped Brownie Cake and Wassail Punch Delicious links for 11.11.2010 |

Love your space and I think I recognize the kitche cabinets... Ikea Nexus yellow-brown?? My living room is currently full of flat packs with those cabinets. I can't wait until they're installed. Your pics make me even more excited for my finished kitchen. Seth & Allison's Breezy Bungalow House Call |

I love it and want to see more! Any more pics on flickr or elsewhere? I'd love to see more of the bedroom and kitchen details. May I ask what cabinets and countertops you used? #comments#comments |

I bought the West Elm striped sheets and they're a little abrasive. They look good, but the feel/quality isn't so great. Similar Striped Bedding: Dwell Studio vs. West Elm | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles#comments |

I have been stalking ebay and Dwell's site hoping the Draper stripe duvet set would go on sale. I'm giving up and just getting the striped sheets from West Elm and a solid duvet. Imitation: The Sincerest Form of Flattery? | Apartment Therapy DC |

Living etc and Elle Decor UK are my favorites. I subscribed to Living etc for a year, but it was just too expensive and I couldn't justify renewing. Now I just buy it occasionally at the bookstore. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Favorite Design Magazine? |

Anyone know if the Kartell sale will also be online?? I've wanted some bubble club armchairs for my patio for so long, but they're just too pricey for plastic. Apartment Therapy Boston | The Weekend Guide: Sales & Events Boston 6.11.09 |

buhbis - it's actually charcoal gray and cream and not really a zebra pattern. It's by Angela Adams and the style is Mammy. It's no longer available on her site. I got it years ago and I think it not a style/color she makes anymore in wool. I found one (on sale) on this site below, but I'm not familiar with them. twotwentysix - that is actually the light I was originally thinking of doing in a light blue or orange! But then I read through searches about how easily it scratches and I decided against it. My place gets so dusty and I was afraid the dust me dusting it would = scratches. Now you have me thinking twice about it. Let me clarify... nothing has changed with the fireplace, but a lot has changed with the rest of the place. Like the removal of popcorn ceilings, some velvet flocked 70s wallpaper and an intercom system in every room (some units were only 10 ft away from each other -- much easier to just yell). Thanks all for the great advice!! So many great ideas and links. I really do like the idea of spray painting a gaudy brass chandelier an unexpected color. That's something I've seen them do so many times on home shows, but never really thought of doing myself. I do love the Nelson saucer lamps and ph5, but I like the idea of adding some fun and interest with the light. The room and board pendant could be interesting too. Is anyone here familar with Gus Modern furniture?? No retailers in my area carry it and I'm curious about the quality of the Thomspon dining chair. Anyone have anything to say for/against them? I'm looking for a chair to pair with a Bludot strut table in ivory if you have any other recommendations. Apartment Therapy New York | Open Thread 675 New York#comments |

I love her rugs and don't see 80s in that at all. I agree that a rug can be a great starting point to designing a room. Apartment Therapy Boston | Good Questions: OK To Design a Room Around a Rug? |

I think your place looks fab! Both warm and full of style. I love your use of pops of color without it being overwhelming and/or juvenile. And I'm bored with the "looks like a dwr catalogue" critique that so often appears here. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | House Tour: Anonymous's Potrero Hill Loft#comments |
