I like this post. I have found it difficult to see home tours on A.T. that appear to be beautifully curated after the resident has lived there just 5 months!

There is a very personal aspect for one to consider themselves to be living in a place they consider a home and more time to create what they consider to be a "good" home.

Thank you for the change in perspective and for all the illuminating comments!

I'm unsure why you blanch them after slicing them. Since you do not utilize the water again doesn't that take away quite a bit of the flavor?

The rinds are already very soft. You can pop the whole kumquat into your mouth and chew, no peeling necessary.

Love the shelves but I'm wondering if you could hang the tv in the shelving? That way it would be a little camouflaged when it is off but still watchable.

I have chrome shelving on wheels for my pantry (very, small space) since my kitchen was cleaned during the week, my mom came to visit <3, I am going to work on raising and lowering the shelves so I can fit my dog food tupperwear under the last shelf to clear space in my living room!

Thanks!

My kitchen sink dribbles hot water and sprays cold. I recently discovered that the hot and cold lines are running to the opposite line on the faucet. I'm going to switch them and bask in the hot water that I will have an abundance of (I think my faucet is faulty because I've tried adjusting it like you would with a bathroom shower...no luck).

I like this idea but I have trouble separating myself from my space. I find sitting and taking a photo of what I'm looking at and examining it helps me see things that I otherwise ignore or miss. Just a quick point of my phone reveals so many things I hadn't noticed before (lighting, clutter, color etc.).

Thanks for the great post!

I LOVE my Aeropress. I finally bought an extra for work (in order to stop dragging mine to and from from home) and one for my sig. other's place. :) I just picked up a hand grinder and my coffee needs are met. Although, my Aeropress has RUINED coffee for me....most coffee shops (local or corporate) cannot compare to what I can make.
