Just to piggyback on the editor's suggestion, I've made granola with dried cranberries (instead of raisins) and pumpkin seeds to add festive red and green to the granola. It's always been a hit.

I know it was only an aside in the original post, but my husband and I LOVE paprika potato chips!

marmite--My husband and I love Bavaria and always eat a Schweinehaxe (pork knuckle) or two while we're there. And the Schnitzel and sauerkraut are great basically anywhere in Germany. For dessert, if they're serving a vanilla sauce with the apple strudel, definitely order it. We also love a dessert called Kaiserschmarren, which is like a cut-up pancake with raisins and cinnamon, served with jam.

We loved the food in Portugal! Our highlight was the Pastel de Belem in Lisbon. We had some other amazing pastries too.
The fresh grilled sardines in Porto were pretty amazing as well.

I made this for my Royal Wedding party, but instead of graham crackers I used rich tea biscuits in honor of Prince William's groom's cake. It was delicious!

No pressure. :)

I made this last night as soon as I saw the post, and it was great! And so easy! I wasn't sure if I should refrigerate it or not, but I did and am shocked that it was (if possible) even better this morning straight from the fridge than it was warm last night!
shady lane--I'm in the UK also, and I used Nice biscuits for the crust. The hint of coconut went well with the chocolate filling (even though it might not have been in total harmony with the original recipe).
