My parents have a similar granite build-in kitchen table . At first I was unsure about their choice, but now having a child of my own, I am jealous. The surface is easy to clean, don't have to worry about scratches like wood, you can put hot dishes on the table, no need for placements, and it can serve as an extra kitchen work surface. I agree with other commenters, its temporary and after awhile you don't even notice it. Babyproofing a Wood Stove Good Questions |
