i was thinking about doing something like this with my 4x4 expedit. i planned on painting only the bottom and one side of the cubes a green and the rest of the shelf dark mocha. from one side it would look two tone but from a different angle it wouldn't be so distracting...thoughts? i would be careful about just grabbing pallets from behind stores. often they turn them back into the shipping or transport company and they consider taking them theft. just check with the store manager and more often then not they will gladly let you take one if that is the case.
