Vinyl flooring might not be your thing but they sell squares at Home Depot that are less than a dollar per square. The room doesn't look that big so you wouldn't be spending a fortune.

I got them while traveling in Europe and they jumped in my suitcase on the way back home. They multiplied and ended up attacking my roommate so I had to spend $350 for the bug man to order special chemicals to kill 'em. We left the house for the weekend.. and they were gone.

And they were so horrible I had to get a cortisone shot, lived off Benadryl, and cream.

depends on if you want the area to stick out.. or not.

go with a red rug if you want it to scream a little.

or go with something neutral like white or gray if you don't want too much attention drawing to the area.

haha. i sure hope my friends don't get peeved if i serve them the SAME thing i've served them before. pffft.

I'm not sure what my 25lb. whoodle ate...

He threw up twice in the middle of the night. When we got up in the morning.. he started from my bedroom.. down the stairs.. through the living.. dining room.. with explosiveness.

A few $100s from the vet later my neighbor offered to watch him (after nothing was left in him). He destroyed the blinds.

Oh and he ate my $100 heels once and a brand new dress , but he still sleeps with me every night :)

I can't tell if it is an MR16 or GU10, but both are available in LED instead of halogen at The Home Depot. So if you do find another fixture you like but has the bulbs you don't like.. there are other alternatives out there.

You could get a flex track lighting system and then add pendants to the track.

Another one bites the dust..
