“Standard Swivel Back Rocker #70360” by Homecrest, circa 1963. This style shows in their catalogs through 1984, and replacement cushions/parts are still available. http://www.homecrest.com/about/archive.aspx - 1984 catalog pages 10-15 gives a fun history. JulieR, they were sold with cushions. Maybe that’s all you need for yr pair to make them comfy? I love mine and can sit comfortably in them for hours. Homecrest has the original brochures online and still sells replacement parts and cushions. These welded steel wire frames were so popular that they were even were made with leather cushions for interior use (see 1965 catalog). They are beauties.
I’ve had it on my To Do List to get a classified posted to sell 4 chairs. I’ve moved to a smaller home and have to sell my extra pieces.  There are two 70360 Standard Back Swivel Rockers (originally #36 swivel rockers), one 70720 (Orig Model 72 Swivel Rocker), and one 71690 Siesta Lounge (originally Model 105 Siesta Chaise). Sadly, cushions are long gone. Below are links for some fun reading on these beauties.

Hey, that china cabinet is similar to mine - that's going to be For Sale! Anyone interested? Mine is the same basic shape, but A Lot more elaborate. Griffins, double lion paw on all 4 legs, carved spirals and wheat, mirror backing in the body and on the top piece. It's around 45" w and 65" tall. Just no room for it and it's hanging out in the garage. I'd even considered painting it some gorgeous color like celedon or even red. Bottom line: no room inside and I'm asking $350. (Paid $1K at a garage sale in 1985!)

20 years back I bought one of the cheapo styles, similar to Home Decorators, came home assembled it, unloaded some jewelry. Hmm, it worked great, but I had too much jewelry. Ran back to Payless and bought a second unit. Well, it's been 20 years and they are still so convenient that I can't find anything better to replace these identical twin asses!! Arrggg.

Home Decorators is so cheap and convenient, just buy as many as you need, remove the "butt ugly" drawer pulls :) and paint black. Ask yr wife to keep an eye out for some cheap drawer pulls that she likes. You can add those in the future.

Things to consider: my model has those curved legs and they are so rickety that moving the units is always really awkward. After several moves they're really getting bad. Consider a model without legs. Also, I found the model with drawers is less of a hassle the the model with doors in front of the drawers. Drawers work better for lots of earrings.

Sean, be careful on this project. Once yr wife sorts, organizes, and purges all her jewelry, she might want you to take her shopping to refill the empty spaces!

oh this brought back memories! hahhhahaha. It was my first house, circa 1950 tract 4 bd/1 ba. my ex spent the day ripping open the wall between kitch and bath. I arrived home and he couldn't wait to tell me about The Razor Blades!! I knew exactly why they were there, having seen those slots in medicine chests. Now this was a man of very, very few words, but I he just wouldn't shut up about the HUNDREDS of razor blades he found in the wall!!!! There were single edge, double edge, etc etc. What would make someone do that, etc etc etc. He even saved a tiny pile to show me in case I didn't believe him. (roll eyballs here)

I finally just let him go on for a couple of hours and get the disbelief out of his system. Maybe it wouldn't have been so weird for him if I'd been home of if he'd had one of his buddies over that day to help. .. btw, he didn't touch anything, just got out the shop vac, cleaned up, then dumped it as usual in the trash. This was in the early days of separating trash so it was still ok to toss blades.

find out how much it will cost to hire a designer or architect to give you a multi-phase plan so you can do things in layers and monitor how your choices are working withthe home's original 1960 vibe. A good plan means avoiding expensive mistakes and having to make compromises because your funds ran out. . .. basically it means retaining control over your project is possible. have fun. . .

The table is IKEA. I have the same one in my facial room and made it look a bit less utilitarian by topping it with 3/8" bronze plate glass and velvet curtain on rings.

This table was found in one of their kitchen areas & has lots of options to install under the top - wire rack shelves ($14 ea. takes two units), drawers, cabinet w/ door. the cabinet or drawer option comes in both off white or black. There's also a coordinating wall cabinet that comes in off white or black. I seem to remember the cabinet option has a wheels option so you can slide it right under the table.

There is a coordinating sink unit the same width & length. Sink and counter are all one piece of stainless steel. You just need to add faucet and connect to plumbing.
