My "office" is a corner of the living room, configured much like the photo above. It's not ideal but it works for me. I just try to schedule conference calls when my kids are in school so it doesn't sound like I live with a herd of elephants. Where to Squeeze a Home Office into a Full House? |

My 14 year-old daughter has this in her bedroom and uses it for all of her makeup, hair accessories, etc. The color is very pretty and the quality is good. I, personally, wouldn't paint it but it's not mine to live with. If you're on the fence about this particular piece, maybe find a cheaper, crappier nightstand at a thrift shop or on Craigslist, and do a practice run first. I'm not the best furniture painter by any stretch of the imagination but I've gotten better by practicing on some things that didn't matter. Should I Redo This Mid-Century Nightstand?
