I have full confidence that Becky and her husband have the baby's safety under control. It would be more fitting to comment on the design of the nursery - I think it's the perfect sort of feature for AT. Becky was able to take the design components from a nursery and space that she (and her family) loved in a house that they loved, and translate that into a new city, a new (rental) house, and made what could have felt like a very sterile space into a place that recalled their first home.

It is sometimes hard to think past the restrictions that non-ownership bring to the table, but that's what this site is ultimately about.

Nice job, Becky!

My daughter had a "Monster Art" party for her sixth birthday. That's what she asked for, so we combined her love of crazy monsters and her creative style into one big outdoor party. Plus, we were expecting a new baby right before her birthday, so we used the few months leading up to the party to sort through all of our accumulated art stuff to use. We didn't buy anything. Instead of stuffed fabric monsters we made giant stuffed paper ones out of a roll of brown paper and stuffed them with plastic grocery sacks. The kids decorated to their heart's content. Our monster inspiration also came from some monster cups that we found on a clearance rack one day.

A monster theme really can take advantage of lots of stuff you already have around the house!
