Another thing to be aware of is that, over time, the lines outlining the edges of the original tiles will "telegraph" through the lino on top. It's not a deal-breaker, since the lino is definitely an improvement, but it's good to know what to expect.

We got married at the City Museum in the room that connects to the outdoor sculpture shown in the picture. It was an amazing place to marry and party!

Also, the great Ted Drewe's vs. Mr. Wizard debate will never die. However, I vote for Ted Drewe's custard.

Sure- the highboy is beautiful. Too bad this dealer is masquerading under furniture by owner. C'mon dealers - knock it off.

Hey AT - I appreciate your scavenger posts, but could you please stop posting items from DEALERS who consistently post ads in the Furniture by OWNER ad section of CL? VintageGround and Phylum Furniture in Chicago, I am referring to you.

I replaced my SAMTID shades with regular spider-top fitter shades, and added a light-bulb clip adaptor and finial (http://www.amazon.com/Westinghouse-70219-Clip-Bulb-Adapter/dp/B0002YTYRO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1318342144&sr=8-1). Leslie here - I just learned this was posted, so sorry for the delay. Thanks for all the positive comments!

The table by the couch came from CB2. Sweet Home Chicago art is from Go Jump in the Lake (you can find them on Etsy). I bought it at North Halsted Market Days in Boystown.

Thanks for all your great comments about the colors. I agonized over those. The gray is Benjamin Moore Aura Brand - color is Kendall Charcoal. The orange is Glidden in eggshell - color is Tangerine Dream. Both tones are found in the exposed brick, so I knew they were winners.

Hey, St. Louis - we moved here from Benton Park - Love ya.
