My bed is straight-up Ikea. I needed something fast and easy when I moved in, since, let's be honest, air beds are just not comfortable!

LOLLYPUP - the fabric is an Ikat that I bought at Calico Corners.

GOOGERBER - The bookshelves are just stacked. At first, I worried that it wasn't stable enough, but with all the heavy art books on it, even the earthquake last year didn't move it.

I DO have way too much stuff. And while I actually would prefer to be more minimalist, there are a few extenuating circumstances that have left me with a bunch of things I can't (for sentimental reasons) get rid of. My mother and I have recently had to go through both my father's and my sister's worldly possessions, and neither of us have any storage space to speak of. But we are just not ready to let go of some of it. So I have had that challenge as well. In any event, I'd rather have too much that reminds me of them than nothing.
But I still do have an acquisition problem. I'm not sure the pictures do my apartment justice, though, because when you're actually there, it doesn't feel cluttered.

Oh, and finally, the bedroom paint color is called 'Rainstorm' by Sherwin Williams.

Also, I thought about making the closet into a bedroom, but a full-sized bed wouldn't fit (and allow anyone to move around). Having been forced to have a twin-sized bed overseas, I was dying to be able to spread out a bit. Also... I have a ton of clothes and shoes. It is a little pathetic.

Its actually a lamp (in the loose sense of the word) made out of snapple caps -- a project started by my sister and finished by me! It has christmas lights hanging on the inside... We used to drink A LOT of snapple.

The Little Engine That Could -- my father used to read that to me, and it was a favorite.

I have to say that generally I've been disappointed with all of Target's designer collaborations -- the quality just isn't there. One reason Missoni is so expensive and rare and beautiful is because of its production quality. That just doesn't happen when it's mass produced for a company like Target.
