Or you could just build a real frame to the mirror's dimensions, and prop it over the mirror. Again, no need to boost it up (which I frankly wouldn't try, especially since you're renting).

My parents had a ton of amazing Dansk kitchen and tableware, which they got rid of in the '80's in favor of a set of reproduction willow ware. Sigh.

I'd honestly rather deal with hard lemons than use plastic bags. At least if the lemons go bad you can compost them.
