I love that skull, not sure if you can tell in the picture but it holds a tealight candle! Skulls rule.

Thanks! Yes its very easy to make the bed in the morning LOL. I was going for a relaxed, easy look. And you are totally right, that is a LEGO block piece I made in the frame.

Thank you! The paint color is called "Stone Mason Gray" from Valspar (Lowes). The floor lamp base was from IKEA about 8 years ago, and the shad was a large drum shade I had around.

the Ming chair from Crate&Barrel is really more kelly green in person. Photo isn't quite right.

Thanks for the kind words.

Answers to a couple questions:
The wood and leather chair was actually scavenged item old storage unit that I cleaned up and restored. No maker was indicated but similar chairs were designed by Finn Juhl among others.

The blue pillow on the sofa is from Crate&Barrel, unfortunately from about 3 years ago.

While this home is certainly one of the finest examples of carefully curated mid-century design I cannot help but think about the rare budget that created it.
The details alone are staggering: $600 blender, $4000 fridge, $8000 stove, original platner table, arc lamp, eames lounge chair, the amazing artwork...on and on...
Its definitely inspirational, but an immensely expensive inspiration.
Hopefully the spirit of great design for "real" people and "real" living spaces continues on this site.

I think Elle Decor featured her home a while back. It was just as bizarre, uninviting, and off-putting as she is.

Very beautiful objects, but $795 for a bottle opener...no thanks. I think Ms. Wearstler needs to get a reality check.
