I am a Citrus Lane subscriber and I love it. It gives me a chance to try products that I might not try otherwise. Some of the products I have wanted to but could not find at my local baby stores. I feel this problem coming. I have a four month old daughter and our families are out of control. My mother has already purchased her an easy bake oven and barbies. I have decided that I am going to have to set some boundaries when it comes to gifts. I am going to send our parents a list of general gifts that we would like for her or we think that she would actually play with. I don't think it is out of line to give them guidelines. I am also going to tell them that I am not being rude but if they purchase inappropriate gifts for her (like an easy bake oven) then we are going to exchange them. I honestly do not like having guests. I especially hate for people to sleep on my couch because they tend to "camp out" and I don't feel like I am able to use my own space. We had our first child in May and made a rule that only one person can stay at our home at a time because of space limitations.
