wow, this looks really cool! I don't get ppl saying they'd paint the brick... why install it in the first place if you don't like it? Why would you install brick only to paint it over? Very unique and innovative reno, good job! Before & After: Reno From Virtual Mockup to Reality |

Hey, I want to stencil some vintag-ey looking Noah's Ark animals as a border in my baby's room, but haven't really found any stencils I like. Anybody suggest something? Put a Giraffe On It |

Trying to think of a witty comeback... I got nothing. Shocked speechless. By the unexpected quote, not by the duvet covers. Diane von Furstenberg's 'Ready to Wear' Bedding & Tabletop Architectural Digest Home Design Show 2011 |

I wasn't snarking anybody. I just don't get it. I'm struggling just to buy basics, I can't imagine paying someone to draw something fancy in chalk for me. Custom Chalk Illustrations by Dana Tanamachi |

RuthieatCommunityForklift, I've never heard what you describe as being ocd; rather I've heard it as being add or adhd, and alternately unfocused and then hyperfocused. And yes, I fit this description to a "T". I know "how" to clean, I just won't do it. I usually let things get really bad, then I'll do a major clean, then it starts to get bad again. I've tried most all the systems out there, basically nothing works for me, and I seem to have no ability for day-to-day maintenance. Only when it's really bad do I attain some clarity of what to do about it (crisis mode?). Wish I could figure out something that would work for me :( On Truly Learning How To Clean Your Home |

What about homemade pecan pralines, w/ a simple, "thank you for the gift" plastered across it? Probably not for a Christmas gift, but for some other gift or occasion? Do You Write Holiday Thank-You Notes? Reader Survey |

@Monica Woods, thanks for an awesome link! I am one who hates, hates, HATES to write thank-you notes (although I am genuinely grateful). Maybe this will help. I will typically do anything to get out of writing thank-you notes, including buying a lavish gift in leau of a note, but usually just never get the thank-yous done. I wish our culture would come up with a more user-friendly custom than thank-you notes, I really do! Do You Write Holiday Thank-You Notes? Reader Survey |
