Crust is heaven. Normally I'm onboard with just about everything Bittman has to say and if HE is not a crust person, that's his personal taste and he's welcome to it. But a personal opinion is not a fact. I love crust.

I keep a notebook where I track what I've made, how I liked it and if it's worth repeating. I definitely make notes in cookbooks too-usually because I am scaling the recipe down or making changes to make a dish vegetarian.
