I did similar work in college for my architecture models, if using cardboard or foamcore as molds, you can line the inside with packing tape and spray with crisco/olive oil. If you are careful you can even reuse the molds once or twice. How to Make Modern Cement Planters Using Packaging |

I would suggest bottom-up shades. The system can be installed between the top of the brick sill and the ceiling without touching the windows themselves.
