I think it's fine to decorate with religious symbols even if you're not religious. I have a pretty glass nativity scene I bring out each year, and I'm not a believer. I don't believe in flying reindeer and Santa Claus, either, but they're part of the season, too, and I have a few of them sprinkled around the house.
