Mmmm, this sounds and looks delicious! I think I want to try making this with sortilège, I've been having an hankering for maple flavoured goodies.

No TJ's where I live, sadly. Considering how cheap wines/spirits are in the states, I would love to buy a $20 bottle of wine that would cost at least double that in BC.

I love baked brie. And I love it even more when it's baked in pastry. Making them bite sized is a great idea. I just won't use a stick. Sticks only belong with kebabs, not in a cake, not in baked brie.
The Baba Ganosh sounds tasty too. Looks like I have some things to try once I'm no longer sick.

Also, thanks JLS988 for posting the brie link.

@avocado, I really wouldn't worry about what the pyramid or this new food plate says about dairy. The fact that a person's body has a hard time absorbing calcium is a good reason to keep consuming dairy products. (plus the calcium absorbed will keep osteoporosis at bay, and no, that's not dairy industry propaganda)

Carrots and beets also have lots of sugar, just to put that out there. ;)

Personally, I like the portion of grains on that plate (but eating carbs makes me happy). Whether people like it or not, we need carbs (and not small amounts). And we need the sugars from them. Unless you really want to risk becoming hypoglycemic.

I like this person's idea...

I've read the books, but I hate the tv series.

Also, it bothers me that people call the series by the first book 'Game of Thrones', instead of by the actual series name 'A Song of Ice and Fire'.

Also, to add, just because something says "organic" doesn't mean it's "natural". Plenty of organic things can easily be synthesized.

I like to dream about eating organic. However, where I live eating organically (unless it's summer and you can grow vegetables), is too expensive.
It could just be my location that makes organic more pricey, since I live in northern British Columbia (plus adding a %12 tax onto food makes organic produce and goods even more expensive). I noticed while I was in Florida for the summer the organic food was nearly equivalent in price to conventional foods. I was both shocked and pleased.

This is rather interesting.
Personally, I dislike eating with a big fork. Big forks always feel awkward in my hands and generally make eating unappealing. I use a small fork whenever possible.
I will also note that when there are no small forks available and I have no choice but to use a large one, the amount that goes onto my fork stays the same. The fact that I am a tedious eater may have something to do with it.

I tried this recipe. It came out really well (used blackberries). Good colour, smell and taste.
I was wondering if anyone knew if any alcohol content was lost during the making. Mostly because it's very smooth and sweet, with barely a hint of alcoholic taste.
