The dresser is a vintage piece we found while visiting family in Iowa. Not sure of the original maker.

Thank you! And yes, sort of. There is no bedroom door, just an open staircase with a spindle railing (not our taste). We boxed in the railing with birch plywood which gave us a little more privacy, sound shielding, as well as more "wall" to place our bed in front of. The shape of the room and crazy pitched ceilings make it challenging to layout, but gives the newer construction a little more character.
