Another vote for removing overlap between channels and/or having everything available in one main channel.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: (and I am surprised that more people haven't mentioned this) it is incredibly annoying to have to scroll horizontally on my iphone with this new format. Pages should load on a mobile/smaller screen so that you can read the center column immediately, instead of it being half cut off. Please, please fix this, it's the main way I accessed the site and the current setup is stopping me from clicking through from my RSS because it's so frustrating to have the screen initially load just as the left half.

Also another vote for changing up the way you do the thumbnail pics (just include them all in the page one by one full size; it's frustrating to have to wait for each to load) and comments sections.

And last but not least, while I'm complaining -- please consider investing more in copy editing.

Lose the towel bar & install hooks or a bar on the back of the bathroom door. If you don't need the space, get rid of the cabinet. Paint the walls a color you love. Wait on everything else.

And DEMO THAT ILLFITTING BACKSPLASH. It's the only thing that's really off about the space.

PLEASE tip your waitstaff nicely (20%) if they do a good job. Every job I ever had waiting tables growing up I was paid less than minimum wage -- we're talking $2/hr -- this is legal because they can say that you're going to get tip money. Which is great if you're actually getting tipped. More than once I worked so hard and bent over backwards for people only to get a stiffed and go home at the end of the night with almost nothing in my pocket. Unless you are working at a very fancy restaurant or a pricey place with fast turnover, you're not even making a ton on tips. I made enough to pay my rent/bills and save maybe $500 over the course of a whole summer.
