I have made pie crusts for forever- and I started with crisco, moved to crisco+butter, butter with 1-2 tsp crisco and finally to leaf lard+ butter- the last is the ultimate for flakiness and flavor- I feel better too, as then my pork supplier is able to use even more of the lovely pig- really, give it a try-

re: the sodastream suggestions- I once made the mistake of trying to add more carbonation to a bottle in which I had already added the syrup- what a mess-

I have two fond memories of caroling-

As a young kiddo, all the neighborhood kids would join up at a house, get bundled up, and head out to go caroling to the neighborhood adults, then promptly return for hot cocoa and cookies. Age ranged from barely talking-teenagers (16 or so?). What a lovely community that really was.

Last year, my parents and their bridge group of about 16 adults went to visit an ailing member who was unable to attend their Christmas/holiday gathering. They sang carols to Carol and her family, allowing her to experience the joy of their annual gathering and not the potential germs. I can't think of that outpouring of love without tearing up a bit.

Turns out I was lucky to grow up in such a great town.

Those of you that have this computer- how is word processing once you get used to the smaller keyboard? As a boring grad student, all i really use my computer for is photo storage (no editing), word processing, internet usage (e-mails, posting, browsing). This might be perfect for me!

Any feedback you have is much valued.

ooh, genmaimatcha... so toasty/yummy. But, l also love rooibos, english breakfast, jasmine, and pretty much any tea.

my own scrubs... i'm somewhere between small and medium. and custom is the only way to go.
