Uh... "the Freedom Room is not just for prisons, but could be used in low-cost hotels and hostels, as well as student and temporary housing." Seriously?? So... people who have done crimes deserving of a high security facility get to enjoy the same environment deemed proper for students or hotels? Am I the only one who feels this is somehow wrong? Shouldn't prisons be a place one would want to get out of and a punishment? 0_o Guess I should have just stabbed someone in Italy when I was a poor student. I just made this and wowza, it is yummy. I didn't have enough blueberries just I added some raspberries and it was great (both frozen). I even took it out a bit late because I didn't hear hear my timer go off, oops, but was still good. Will make it again and not forget the timer :p Very light and fluffy cake with great flavor, thanks!! Recipe: Lemon-Blueberry Yogurt Cake with Lemon Cream Recipes from The Kitchn |

I was just looking to purchase one of these for laundry. Great timing. :) As for people putting them in their shopping carts, the grocery shops around here have notices asking you to please use the store carts instead of your own baskets/bags/carts. Likely due to shoplifting especially when you have one of those liners in. Easy Does It: Folding Shopping Carts |

I had the same problem with the logo's. Eventually I found some at a local mom and pop dollar store for 2 for a buck and have since seen them at other dollar stores too. Hope that helps. :) 5 Creative Uses for Clipboards at Home |

A second the Songza suggestion. I love how it has a concierge to make suggestions of playlist for the time of day. They have a bunch of options for honestly every situation/event you can imagine. All the playlists are made by professionals and you can really tell by the quality of the selections. Since discovering it i've been using it exclusively and...it is FREE! :D Discover Your Next Favorite Song: 4 Great Music Sites |

I use a paint strainer bag. Sounds very strange I know but it is a very low cost and super handy solution. They are made of a very fine mesh sturdy nylon material and work great for rinsing small grains. Just make sure you clean it very well after you bring it home. :) You can also google strainer bags online to get food specific ones also. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | How to Cook Quinoa |

I think a photo wall or a group of family shots is a great thing to have some place in a home. Great conversation started "oh, who is this? looks so much like so and so" or you can point out a person you're speaking about. Amazing when you have children and your family isn't all living close and they don't get to see them all the time. Heck, I like to see the photo's of my family that's not close in my home. Very nicely done. If I was a neighbour I wouldn't be upset one bit as it breaks up the row a little. I actually think it makes the neighbouring brick look nicer by contrast. Not just a big blah row of the same red. Will make it a lot easier to direct people to your home especially with that great door colour choice. Before & After: Erin's Painted House 110 + 2 |

Wow, what a beautiful home! I have a question about your kitchen counters though. Did you have those tiles and grout sealed somehow? How do you keep it clean with all the crevices? I love the rustic look of it but I, being the huge clutz that I am, would be terrified of spilling something on there... like tomato sauce or something of the sort. :) Ashley's Hollywood Knolls House House Tour |

Congrats on the feature! What an amazing find for such a price and what a great mom you are for all the hard work you put into this totally cheerful and age appropriate room for your daughter! It saddens me that people are so aggressive about this paint or no paint issue and don't see the love that went into this. I am a no paint girl but considering who it is for and the look you were going for with the rest of the room I think it was a good choice. Well done!!! :) Before & After: Vintage Bed Makeover Fit for a Teen My Old Country House |

I use it to make "cream" based soups instead of dairy products. As in, a flavorful broth + any blanched veggie + a couple spoons of tahini + hand held blender = creamy smooth soup. It is also super in smoothies like other folks have mentioned. :) Open Sesame! What To Do With a Jar of Tahini |

I just finished picking shades of white and grey for my own home. Tricky business! Like the previous people have said, you need to wait till you can compare the paint chips to the shade of the carpet. Go to a paint store, select a range of shades and colors and tack them on a section of wall and watch them throughout the day as the light changes. If there are some brighter and darker areas in the room, change the wall the second day. Take away the ones that won't work. Remember that paint store lighting is VERY different from at home so colors that look "meh" at the store could be winners at home! :) Will Grey Paint Color Work with Tan Sofa? Good Questions |

Great tour. Proves that even in smaller places you can make bold rich dark colours work if chosen properly! I am a bit confused by the entry picture though. So this client has a wife who is not always there yet it is profile photo of the designers friend? 0_o Beautiful picture but I would be a bit put off by that if it were my home. I'd rather have a beautiful photo of my loved one i'd probably be missing. :) Ron's Perfectly Suited FiDi FlatHouse Tour |

I have covered a backsplash similarly outdated to yours successfully with Smart Tiles. You can get them at home depot and they really rock. They are a plastic tile lookalike (not perfect but pretty close!) that you can stick on and remove easily when you move away. Super easy to instal and they come in a variety of colors. If you select one with the cream of the counters in them it can update the whole space. I also agree with the "clear the clutter". If only you were also able to add some nice hardware. :) http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ3wr/h_d2/Navigation?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 Update Rental Kitchen Temporarily? This is such an inspiring house tour because of the transformation from boring cookie cutter to something unique and special. The frame wall is amazing and my favorite. I do wonder how you attached the pictures. Some sort of modge podge or wallpaper glue? Hakarl & Jili Build a Family Home House Tour |

Nice place. Love how you created different areas in the main living space. Only thing I would add is some green plants. (kitty friendly of course!) Cherry & Jeff Create a Home in Hong Kong House Tour |
