i thought the same thing when i saw these last week... they would look great somewhere inside! i'm still thinking about going back and getting the yellow one to use as a side table!

no, i never answer the door to someone i don't know day or night unless it is ups or fedex (who just pulled up in a marked truck). i would probably not open the door to a neighbor either... afterall, i may recognize their face but i don't really KNOW them. i don't care if people think i'm paranoid. i value my life and it's always better to be safe than sorry. btw, i'm a 33 yo married woman but my husband is deployed. if he's home i get him to answer the door.

i wouldn't necessarily pick that particular table and color of tiles but i love the idea and will definitely give this a try! i this it will be perfect for an ikea lack side table.

maybe i just don't have enough appreciation for vintage, but this place just looks grandma-ish to me. i love the bones of the house but the furniture and the empty rooms with pictures randomly lying on the floors just doesn't do it for me.

yikes! i think it's time for a new dishwasher. i run mine about once a week and have never had a problem with smell. just how infrequently are you using it? have you tried using different dishwashing liquids? if it's a moldy smell, there must be mold growing somewhere. there's just no reason that it should smell.

definitely take the painters tape off BEFORE the paint dries... learnt that from experience. i've tried the pad for edges and i didn't like it. i'd only be able to go a foot at most before having to put on more paint. i guess it's all about personal preference though. also, last time i painted i used the paint/primer in one and only needed to do one coat.

i agree with cassielynn. i love mid-century but this looks like they are stuck in a timewarp. the really special pieces are lost don't stand out against all the time-period stuff. also are those tv's even functional?? and omg, that kitchen is in SERIOUS need of an update!

oh and don't keep your medications in the bathroom... the heat AND humidity can degrade the medication making the expiration date actually sooner than what's printed.

you can always take your unused medications to any pharmacy and they will happily dispose of it for you. never flush your unused pills down the toilet (it'll soon say on most medication container's not to do this). never keep antibiotics. i know they are expensive but you are doing yourself and everyone else MORE harm then good by using them later. also, keep in mind there are many drugs that are harmful after the expiration date (eg. tetracyclines). if in doubt, throw it out or ask a pharmacist.

OMG! so i'm not the only one and it IS normal, lol! my pet peeve is the obvious used furniture stores in my city that list their stuff as "owner." Makes my blood boil.

i always like to see the posts listed as "unique." without fail, the item is ALWAYS something not just ugly, but HIDEOUSLY ugly! i'm always shocked that anyone could have had that thing in their house and then even more surprised to see that they are asking for a sizable amount of money for said atrocious item!

of course the spelling mistakes, WOW's, and overuse of exclamation marks drive me crazy too. "chester drawers" annoys the heck out of me almost as much as not listing a photo or outrageously over-priced stuff.

it's a shame really because i'm a little fed up with it and don't have the patience anymore to deal with CL on a daily basis.

looks soooooo much better, and who says you need to have the pots and pans near the stove? when they look that good they should be on display!

i love the bedroom... wish the same could be said for the rest of the place. the living room looks like craiglist crap and the dining room chairs, ugh! and what's with the artwork above the bench? why is paint dripping down it? it looks messy and not at all sophisticated. i feel like a nice modern grey/silver sofa in the living room would have worked so much better in this place and some color or beautiful wallpaper on the walls would have really made this place look like a professional woman lives here.
