You should NEVER use a car seat cover that did not come from the company that manufactured your car seat. Adding additional or changing the car seat cover to a non-manufacturer cover will not only void the warranty on your seat but will put your child in danger. These covers are not crash-tested for use with car seats and can create a situation where the added "fluff" of the cover can make your child not be buckled securely. We reviewed the kid's sized yoga mat from Lotuspad on our blog a couple of years ago and have since purchased 2 adult sized mats from Lotuspad for our own use.
