Last summer, a friend of mine, who is an avid cyclist, married someone who is also into biking. (The story of how they met is interesting in itself.) Their wedding ceremony took place on a bicycle trail bridge underneath I-70 in Kansas City, Kansas. There was definitely a low-cost, DIY vibe about the whole thing, but it's by far the best wedding I've ever attended. The bride found the dress she wore while dumpster diving. The ushers included two homeless men who lived under the bridge whom the bride had befriended over time. Guests and members of the wedding party were encouraged to wear costumes or otherwise be creative in their dress. The wedding party (which included "Batgirl" and a Star Wars storm trooper) came down the "aisle" by bicycle. Probably the most traditional thing about the entire day was the solo violinist playing the wedding march during the processional. Otherwise, it was quite a unique day, and I'm so glad I got to play a small role. (I had helped with the site cleanup the week prior.)

i love the colors throughout, but especially in the living room. i would love to know more about the sofa, if possible...

o.m.g. i *love* the kitchen. love it. the rest of the house is pretty dang awesome too, but that kitchen... i won't be able to get it out of my mind all day.

most of the experiences i've had on etsy have been beyond positive. however the most negative experience i've had has also been the most recent. about a month ago, i found a le creuset skillet at a ridiculously cheap price, but the cost of shipping was not included in the listing. i initiated a convo asking what the shipping on it would be. i waited about a week or so, with no response, but the item was still available so i sent a second convo. another week later, and i finally received a response saying that she had been out of town, and that she would have an answer for me the next day. another few days go by, with no answer, and i'm like eff it, apparently they don't take this store seriously enough to check their email and respond in a timely manner. so two days ago, i was just casually checking my favorites and noticed that the skillet had been sold. that pisses me off because i probably would have bought the skillet at the beginning had i known the shipping cost upfront, which most seller provide within the listing. so i wrote the seller a note saying that maybe she should reconsider having an etsy shop and that if i had the ability to give feedback (since i didn't actually buy anything, i couldn't), it would definitely be negative.

i'm in love with both bathrooms. the way the white one is in contrast with the quirkiness and clutter (a good kind of clutter) of the rest of the house is amazing, as is the open shower. actually i think the whole house is pretty amazing. there are a few things i'd change, but overall, it's a great space.

Never mind, the answer is at the end of the post. My first time posting and I ask a stupid question. :)

I want to know where the duvet cover in pic#1 came from. And the awesome cat rug!
