Blais calling his meat-centric restaurant Tongue & Cheek IS tongue in cheek. Clever, and way better than Restaurant Iz. Seeing a restaurant name emblazoned on an Ed Hardy t-shirt would only ensure that I would never set foot in there. Top Chef All-Stars: The Finale Finish Line |

I currently reside in Fishtown, and while it's true that there are gems to be had, it's not exactly a place where one runs to find an apt. And, sorry, lots of people give a "shiz" about proper spelling and grammar. Lizzy's Lovely Little Dollhouse House Tour |

Ichiban, point taken. And I agree with your last paragraph. Getting the word out is the most important thing. Perhaps I am just less sensitive to these things in general, as I really didn't think the headline was super offensive or fear mongering to begin with. It's the internet..... there are shocking (to some) things everywhere. Like I said, I am also dealing with fertility issues, but I never expect to be coddled by anyone, anything, or any article. My only stance is to look for information. I'll take it wrapped in any package. And I don't ever really expect blogs to have the same standards as, say, an online version of a newspaper. Please note that I am not accusing the writers of this blog of having no standards. I regularly enjoy and pass on the things I read here. Not trying to bash any of the commenters....just saying that for some, it wasn't really sensationalistic. *shrugs* 15 Ways Your Home Can Make You Infertile This Old House.com |

Sorry, ladies, I disagree. I am also a woman with fertility issues, and the writers of this blog have done nothing more than pass on information which was intended to be helpful. The original author in no way states that these factors are the only cause of infertility, he simply points out the harmful ingredients in everyday products. I mean, remember when nobody knew asbestos was harmful? Or real lead in pencils? An article like this raises awareness about the chemicals we live amongst and their POTENTIAL danger. Making informed choices is never wrong, and it may save another woman from the unfortunate fate some of us have suffered. As for the headline, it's meant to grab your attention! It's done it's job. And, the Ohdeedoh writer included a caveat. So, if you read that, and were offended, why read further? As in most situations in life, you take what's for you, and leave the rest. 15 Ways Your Home Can Make You Infertile This Old House.com |
