Yeah, it's true. The succulent's leaves should be much tighter. Needs more light.

A plantless house feels very hard and lifeless to me. They soften the edges and add interest and ambiance. I have 2 cats who get back to their wild roots by hiding amongst the leaves. The only time they take a bite is when their food bowl is empty for too long, which is very rare.

I've been frequenting YouGrowGirl.com for years. They have a great Flickr group too. Great forums and very friendly people.

I'll be installing my own vertical garden this weekend, which is insanely cheaper than the ones pictured. I'll be tracking my progress on Flickr and Pinterest.

I can only figure that their ginormous furniture is to compensate for the total lack of color.

I have the CB2 pouf and it's great, but be warned: if you actually use the thing, as I have, it flattens, big time. Just like any bean bag type chair thingy I suppose. If anyone knows if this particular one can be refilled, please let me know!

I think it's a great space! I'd lean a large piece or art or huge mirror in the back and go with a couple accent pieces up front. But keep proportion in mind. It's a large space, so go bold. Little knick-knacks just won't cut it there.

i hit submit too soon!

i haven't thought about this in years and it just hit me... there was a "Candy Lady" in the neighborhood when i was a kid. you just stopped by her house, no matter the season, and she gave out candy. what a great memory.

i don't do this either, but what a sweet thing.

i have a boss who is showered with gifts at the holidays by appreciative customers. she literally has more chocolate and cakes than she can eat, so she loads up her employees with all the extras. it's so nice to come home at the end of the day with a box of chocolate, just because. i just might have to buy some goodies for my place for the sole purpose of sharing.
