I just finished reupholstering some old dining room chairs. It was time consuming but easy and came out great! It really brightened up the whole room! Wish I could upload a pic but I don't have a website. Brags! What DIY Project Are You Most Proud Of? |

I lived in Busan (2nd largest city on the southern coast) and these look pretty similar to both of my apartments... with nicer appliances. 90% of my friends in apartments had only a stove, no oven. Also, both of my tiny bathrooms had only a shower head coming out of the wall and a drain in the middle of the tiled floor. It did make for easy cleaning, just hose everything down! Just got back from the farmer's market so that means veggie egg scramble for breakfast with sun-dried tomato toast, strawberries, and coffee. There is a large pot of mint green tea cooling on the stove. Dinner will be leftover stip steak over arugula with a cilantro vinaigrette followed by strawberry rhubarb crisp! I was just offered a wooden drafting table and am trying to figure out if I could use it as a kitchen table. I'm not really familiar with drafting tables so I'm doing a little research and will be going to look at it in the next month. I'm wondering if it is sturdy enough to serve as a table. We have a year-round farmer's market and a co-op nearby. However, they both have some produce that is not local. I try to stick to what I know is local and seasonal but I do indulge in some lovely citrus fruit. While I miss the variety of summer vegetables I find myself leaning towards dark greens, squash, and roots during the winter. This warm winter weather is really throwing me off! I almost lost it last Thanksgiving when my uncle's girlfriend decided to help herself to dessert while the table was still being cleared from dinner. She actually cut into the pie!
