Seven Online Meal & Menu Planning Tools

I already use Evernote to keep track of my recipes, but I recently discovered 'Say Mmm', which is an Evernote add-on. Once you download it, you give recipe(s) you've chosen the 'Say Mmm' tag and it automatically generates a grocery list of all the ingredients!

I think an easy (and renter-friendly) way to add pink (or any color!) would be through textiles...I'm thinking curtains, rugs, a duvet, pillows, chairs (ooooh, maybe a bean bag chair? I loved those when I was growing up) etc etc

@TARAINSEVENVALLEYS no wonder you were afraid to walk outside, $400 for a 1BR? I can only imagine where that was...

Baltimore City, MD
currently in a 2BR/2BA, ~1600sq ft $1595
lowest I would pay is $1400, highest $1800*

*side note - this is given what I know now, however last year we were overpaying for a 1BD/1BA, 800sq ft $1850...4 blocks from where we are now!

Serious Eats has an "Old Bay Wings" recipe that is to die for...and they're baked! They're tossed w/ baking powder before baking, which makes them super crispy and delicious! I'm sure you could omit the old bay too, if that's not your thing.

I like grocery shopping. I get up early on Saturday's and plan the next weeks meals out....then I'm at the store no later than 10a, so it's never crowded. I have to drive a little ways (3 miles) but I LOVE the Shoppers I go to. It's brand new, and literally has the best produce section I've ever seen (aside form H-Mart, of course). Plus, the man who works the produce section is so nice and will run to the back for anything not stocked yet on the shelves, or cut a too-big butternut squash in half if I want.

love, love, love grocery shopping.

Use Evernote! They have an app for smartphones, as well as a free download for your computer (well, I can only speak to the Mac version...)

Whenever I want to keep an online recipe, I copy & paste it into a new note in Evernote on my laptop. If it's from a magazine or cookbook, I take a picture(s) of it with my phone and add the picture as a new note to Evernote.

Each note can be tagged, I usually tag recipes with their main ingredients or type of food (chicken, beef, vegetarian, Indian, etc). Also, there is a place to add a hyperlink, so you can re-visit the original webpage if you want (when pulling recipes from the web).

Then, within Evernote I have folders corresponding to different categories (Main Dish, Side Dish, Baking etc) and within those categories I have sub-categories (Grill, Casserole, Soup etc).

I also use Evernote to make my grocery list...I just make a new note and there is a checkbox function. All of the info is synced online so I can make my list on my laptop and then use the list at the store with my phone, checking off items as I pick them up.

There is also an audio note function, which I haven't really used yet...I just started using Evernote a few months ago and love love love how organized I've gotten!

we have 'pasta bowls' but they are used just as often as any other dishes we have. Anything that has a 'base' and a 'sauce' we use them for (think: pasta & red sauce; rice & stir fry; rice & curry; ...) we also use them for stew&soup or a nice big dinner salad!
