These are adorable. Another great felter is Lauren Alane. She makes really cute, mod birds and owls. She has an Etsy shop:

I've tried to buy one of her birds, but they literally go in minutes.

The Indianapolis Children's Museum is great. It has a huge one-of-a-kind Chihuly installation.

I travel with my 4 year old and 10 month old by myself often. I check their car seats with the luggage, and use my Baby Bjorn on the plane with my youngest. With my older daughter I go to the dollar store or hit Target's dollar depot and buy some cheap new toys, that she doesn't get until we're in the air. They're new to her and I'm not heartbroken if they get lost. The most important thing that I do is durning take off and landing I make my 10 month old drink form her bottle or sippy cup. It helps stop her ears from hurting. I pack at least three ready to go bottles/sippy cups, pre-packaged snack items, and break in case of emergency lollipops in my diaper bag and make sure I put them in an easy ascessible place. Also I pack what I need for the flight and buy the rest when I get there. Good Luck.

This has to be the most original idea for a nursery I've ever seen. Absolutely love it.

They're also at Target for only $10. I bought one for a self-serve desert for a party.

What about the new modern crib at Wal-mart. Now I know it's Wal-mart, but the crib looks modern without the price-tag that modern furniture typically brings. As a mother of two I say save your money on the crib, and put it towards furniture that can transition from baby to toddler to kid. A great dresser, beautiful art, or whatever.

kdkaboom, the best gift I received was small baskets with supplies. My friend gave me three small, non-baby colored baskets. Each was filled with diapers, desitin, wipes, and a small toy. The baskets weren't pink or blue, but something that went with my decor. One basket for the living room, one in my bedroom, and one that could move around. So no matter what room I was in I had supplies. Because honestly, most the time you change the baby wherever you are. Hope it helps.

I have the Malm bed and the new headboard with the hide-away side tables. I love it, and so far it's standing up to an acrobatic 4 year old. The only issue I have is with the headboard. The drawers don't slide on carpet.
