KaBoomBOX the issue is not what people's passwords are. They weren't needed to gain access to the database, Gawker's poor security is the issue there. My password was solid, the database exposes people's email addresses and tied them to their login names. The whole point of a login name is to keep your real identity private. Many email addresses make a person's identity perfectly clear. The password issue only matters if the used that password on other sites or if that is the password they used their email address, not just Gawker.

Given their antics and their use of inside informants there is no defense for Gawker to have such lax security.

This site is helping me understand a lot about my style preferences. I can say right now that I don't like highly stylized Christmas trees like these. I don't even celebrate Christmas and I think they're soulless.

The designer is incredibly talented, but it needs more feeling. Even if it is in Washington.

Average Mom, my mother sang this to me as well (still does on rare occasions 30+ years later), but only the first verse. I have no idea how the rest of the song goes.
