In high school, my friend told me about putting a rubber band around the water sprayer on the kitchen sink so it would spray when the water was turned on. So of course I tried it but then honestly forgot about it until I heard my mom and sister scream. It was hilarious, we all got a good laugh out of it!

Our boys are 25 months apart, now almost 3 and almost 5. They have been sharing a room since the second was a few months old. The oldest is deep sleeper and could sleep through the cries. The few times it got bad we brought him (oldest) into our room until the youngest went back to sleep. We're more worried the oldest quality of sleep. Now they're in toddler size bunk beds and occasionally talk to each other at night but it's never been an issue keeping them from sleeping.
Having your 3 year old ignore the youngest and put up some kind of visual divider are good ideas whether a curtain hanging down or rearranging the beds. Hopefully your youngest will realize the oldest is sleeping and not going to play. Good luck!

Great house, love the colors. Would love a kitchen tour since we're remodeling our kitchen in a less than 900 sq ft house. We have considered the island/eating table idea for our eat in kitchen/only eating area. Would be great to hear your thoughts on how that has worked out for you.

I'm new to eating kale and made the kale, butternut squash, bacon pizza at the top last night. It was really good. The squash was the strongest flavor but the crispy kale was nice. Also put kale in the smoothie this morning and it turned out fine.

Perfect timing!! I'm not doing the Cure, but we just decided we need a pegboard in our kitchen. My wok is too shiny and new for the black hole under our counter. Thanks!

Thanks everyone!!! Fortunately my father-in-law did all the cleaning and just gave us the pheasant breasts. I'm excited to try these recipes, can't go wrong with grilling and bacon and we're big fans of green chile after living in ABQ. Thanks again!!

I had a few goats growing up in TX. Loved their personality. Did great at eating the brush around the yard and trimming the roses! Wish someone would rent them in MN, we have a steep slope in our yard that's weedy and annoying to mow.

We saw this at the Twin Cities Ikea this morning. Looks really nice but we bought the smaller acacia would dining set for $100. I'm really hoping it's worth the $.

We didn't know about this until my husband got a pickle ornament at his work's white elephant Christmas party today. Sounds like a fun tradition! Oh and we are both a little German, my grandmother is a Luckenbach, in TX.

Ha! We have the same setup as the first picture! Yes it's ugly but it covers the fireplace and gives us more floor space in our odd shaped living room. The room needs updating at once, piecemeal won't work in this situation.

I freeze mine in the soup bowls that I would eat them in. Then run warm water over the bottom of the bowl to pop the soup out and store in a freezer bag. My mom did this for me after I had my first child. Works great since our soup bowls and bowls with lids my husband uses to take his lunch in are pretty close to the same size. It is bulky in the bag but easy to slide right back in the bowl to heat up.
