Her before has my current shower. OH, how I would LOVE to get rid of it in favor of something less ugly. Alas, that is not to be. Kudos to her for getting that gorgeous tub!

My landlord just switched out the huge sink that was there when I moved in to a much smaller one. I LOVE that my small sink gives me extra counter space. there was a period of adjusting, but I don't miss the monster sink one bit.

I have a 10 year old lego fan for a son. He enjoys building the sets, and he learns new "lego engineering" techniques from the more sophisticated ones. Then he takes the sets apart and builds his own thing using his newly acquired knowledge. Sometimes he asks for sets, not because he likes the characters or the "story line" behind them, but because they have unusual or rare pieces.

I think that pet food thing with the handle would be fantastic for older people or people with physical limitations.

My perks include having an affordable place in a neighborhood with a great community school, walking distance to many restaurants and a farmer's market, no utility bills, no snow shoveling, no appliance repair responsibilities, etc. But the best perk is that my landlord gives my son free saxophone lessons. I got really lucky!

I bought a drool-worthy couch when it went on deep discount @ DWR. My son was two at the time. Eight years later, I am covering the thing up with throws because of terrible, untreatable stains. Ketchup & wool felt are not compatible.
Other things my son ruined:
Vintage Heywood Wakefield lounge chair - scissors to the vinyl
Vintage danish modern arm chair - scissors to vinyl, sharpie attack
Office chair - tore upholstery then ripped out foam
Desk - gouged the wood
Vintage coffee table - broke off legs

Now he is 10, he has much better impulse control, thank god!
Please, please wait, unless it's fiberglass stuff, which is pretty indestructible.

Once I moved in to an apartment that did not have OUTLETS OR LIGHT FIXTURES in two bedrooms. I did not check since I assumed most places would have outlets in all rooms. Learned my lesson.
