This is so lovely. The gentle, muted color choices. The stripes I love it! Critique though: is the placement of the mirror right over the crib wise? What if it drops on the baby? The owner lives in earthquake country.

Anthropologie - this is a national chain store, but as well curated as a boutique shop. You won't be disappointed.

Gregory - just wanted to say how much I appreciate you doing these LA Craigslist post. They're always very well edited in terms of the items you select. Please keep them coming!

I love pink and use it as an accent color in my home. But I think using hot pink curtains as shown in the picture above is a bad idea. I bought a pair of hot pink silk curtains from the Silk Trading Company and the hue that they projected in my bedroom in the afternoon sun was hideous. I'm talking the "Red Masque of Death" hideous.

I like Wisteria for it global decor look. I love the inlaid bone or hammered metal furniture items that Graham & Green in the UK sells. You can find a selection of those very same items at Wisteria. The items there are much higher quality than Cost Plus but they still have their flaws. I bought a bone inlaid mirror from Wisteria and the hooks in the back of the mirror weren't properly soldered to the mirror - making hanging the mirror on a wall risky. As for the prices, they are pretty high. Anthropologie, which is hardly bargain basement, sells that red mirror shown here in green for $100 less!

I would check out Graham and Brown's textural wallpaper. Very similar looking and cheaper: http://www.grahambrown.com/us/store/viewProduct.do?id=3062120

Glen Senk is Anthropologie's openly gay CEO. He confronted Hayne about his support of Santorum:

"Glen Senk, the company's openly gay chief executive of business, told the Pink Paper: "There is nothing homophobic about Dick Hayne."

"When he made these donations I said to him: 'I'm personally offended by the fact that you would support this guy. If he had his way I’d be in jail.' And he said to me: 'You’re right, I hate his views regarding homosexuality, but I’m not a one-issue voter'."

See this article for elaboration: http://www.pinknews.co.uk/news/articles/2005-8158.html

The issue of Hayne making a $13,000 contribution to Rick Santorum comes up practically every time there is an Anthropologie/Urban Outfitters post on APT. I'm a little tired of the kneejerk reaction.

I have the Ryan sofa from Mitchell Gold. Its no longer being sold but the Luc model is very similar. I really love Mitchell Gold's sofas. Very comfy and stylish: http://www.mitchellgold.com/luc_sf_uph.asp

I had WaryMyers do a wedding crest for us that we put on our wedding stationary: http://www.warymeyers.com/Resources/swansong.jpg

It was a really fun experience working with John to personalize everything. If you look closely, you can see that the crest incorporates our love of Led Zeppelin, the Beatles and rabbits (obviously).

They have a great Hippy style. If you can afford it, why not?

BTW, he works by commission. Not his fault if his clients look like Barbie. I for one am a short Asian girl.

I would search to see if your local Anthropologie has that chair and then bide your time to see if it goes on sale. I've gotten lots of great furniture from Anthropologie just by keeping my eye on certain items. A Paul Smith Antwerp chair went on sale at my local Anthropologie last year for $500. I've purchased the great Amelie sofa for $1000 - a 75% reduction.

Also, Anthropologie always has a 20% off sale on Furniture in April.

You have a lovely home! I feel sad at the uncourteous behavior of some of the posters here.

I have the Ekeskog sofa. Its about 3 years old now. It still looks great, but the cushions really sink in after you sit on them. So I end up wedged in a little hole after watching a movie for 2 hours. I paid around $1000 for the sofa with tax and delivery. If I had spent another $500, I think I would have ended up with a much better sofa investment. I wouldn't advise buying the Ekeskog.

The Eames rocker for a mere $8500 is ridiculous. Why even post something like that?
